Rob Moser, owner of Moser Engineering, stated: “We are thrilled to welcome the GearFX line of products into the Moser Engineering family. Our goal is to continually expand and improve our line of driveline products for the aftermarket marketplace. This acquisition allows us to ensure that the 9-inch housing centers we sell will continue to be produced in the USA. By combining our sales, manufacturing, and engineering expertise with an already-great product line, we will further distance ourselves from the competition. Moser Engineering is known for delivering custom driveline products quicker than anyone else in the industry, and we will apply this expertise to GearFX products right away.”

BrushOff 25 Years

BrushOff 25 Years introduces the invitational “BrushOff” pinstriper party/gatherings that veteran pinstripers Phill Whetstone, Ron Foreman, Dennis Jones, Tim McColgan, and Pete “Hot Dog” Finlan have held every December in Southern California for the past 26 years. Participating artists travel from as far as Ohio and Pennsylvania to join California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Utah pinstripers for their yearly panel exchange and fraternal gathering of top-range talent in the industry.

For 20 years, journalist Michael Stanford has photographed the artwork and produced articles about the parties for AutoArt magazine. This durable 110-page full-color hardcover book features Stanford’s crisp, brilliant, studio-grade, quarter-page images of the BrushOff artwork of over 100 custom auto artists, pinstripers, and sign artists in a sizeable 12×12-inch format, gallery-style presentation. This is a top-quality, on-demand, inkjet-printed, coffee table–style publication at $159, a reasonable price for collectors of fine art and historic automotive artifacts. The BrushOff 25 Years celebration book features artwork submitted to the famous BrushOff Panel Exchange over the past 16 years.

Each year, the attending artists spend weeks preparing unique custom-painted metal panels, skateboard decks, and other objects to be exchanged with their fellow “brothers of the brush” in a friendly private setting at a founder’s SoCal pinstriping shop. These panels incorporate all the techniques available to these artists: pinstriping, hand lettering, illustration, gold leafing, ground metal, reverse gilding, sculpture, and more. The artists employ every bit of their talent and expertise to create truly dazzling works of self-expression.
