’73-83 Mopar Big Brake Kit, Easy Passage, Updated Master Cylinder, and New Synthetic Motor Oils From AMSOIL
1. ’73-83 Mopar Big Brake Kit
Wilwood released a modern big brake kit for ’73-83 Mopar models that fit most 15-inch or larger wheels. New aluminum brackets mount Wilwood’s race-proven Dynapro six-piston calipers and performance rotors to ’73-83 Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth A-, B-, E-, F-, and J-body cars with no modification while reducing weight over OE components.

High-strength Dynapro DP6A forged aluminum calipers feature a central stiffening bridge to reduce deflection and improve performance and pedal feel. Rotors are more than an inch larger than stock, providing more brake torque and thermal capacity. Choose Ultralite HP plain face 32 straight vane or SRP drilled-and-slotted, 32-curved vane rotors measuring 12.19×0.81 inch. Calipers come finished in high gloss red or black powdercoat or 22 other color options (additional charges may apply).

In addition to the high-strength brackets, kits include rotor adapter plates, hubs, and all mounting hardware. Stainless steel Wilwood Flexlines are available separately.

2. Easy Passage
This wire pass through kit (billet cover, custom grommet, mounting hardware, and instructions) was designed with large fuel-injection harnesses in mind. LSX and Coyote harnesses have large connectors that don’t fit through a normal pass through. Available in black anodized, polished, or brushed finished, the billet design lets the largest connectors through without a problem. The custom-fitted grommet has a 1-inch precut hole and split top for ease of installation and can be trimmed to handle larger wire bundles.

3. Updated Master Cylinder
Speedway Motors now offers a ’54-56 Ford dual master cylinder assembly (PN 91032008) for these early Fords to replace the single reservoir system. The system is designed to complement front disc brake upgrades by providing a separate reservoir and fluid path for the disc brakes.

Next the Ford-style 1-inch bore master cylinder feeds an OE-style Ford brass proportioning valve for disc/drum brakes fitting many mid-’50s Fords, including the Thunderbird as a bolt-in system; no modifications to your car necessary.

The kit comes complete with premade braided -AN brake hoses, mounting brackets, heat shield, and all attaching hardware.
